It's possible static discharge killed my cable. A couple of times when I've grabbed my guitar off the stand, I've gotten an ESD shock. I had the same issue on that machine so, it looks like I have a bad cable, unfortunately. Just thought I'd see if anyone here had some ideas before I contact Ubisoft, which I expect to be a drawn out, irritating process.ĮDIT: I dragged my XBox 360 out of the closet and tried the cable with the original version of Rocksmith. But, then after a happy dance, I went to the other room to get a beer, and it wasn't working when I got back. Second, I did get it to work once briefly after a full power cycle on the computer. So, the cable is passing the signal on some level. Well, the new cable works on the computer beautifully. I found a Xbox One version of Remastered at the game store, decided to buy it, because if Rocksmith didnt work on the computer, Id have something. I tried a bunch of things, except the non-cable patch and nothing worked. it won't let me proceed past low E but, sometimes (not always) I can still see the animated sound waves coming from the amp when I strum. I had the original Rocksmith cable as well.

If you navigate to 'Device & Printers' > Right click the 'Rock smith USB guitar adapter' > Sound settings > Recording devices > Click the checkbox 'listen to. First, because sometimes when I'm on the tuning screen, there is no sound from the strings.
